Özet
Osmanlı Devletinin kuruluşundan itibaren askerî, idarî ve malî düzeninin temelini oluşturan timar sistemi XVI. yüzyılın sonlarına doğru bozulmaya başlamıştır. Bütün imparatorlukta olduğu gibi Trabzon Eyaletinde de timar ve zeametlere itibar edilmez olmuş, reâyanın kitlesel göçleri de bu durumu hızlandırmıştır. Eyalet de çok miktarda terk edilmiş timar vardır. Merkezî yönetim önce ıslahât teşebbüsleriyle durumu düzeltme yoluna gitmiş, ancak başarılı olamamıştır. Devlet askerî açıdan timar sisteminden umduğu yararı elde edemeyince âyanlar vasıtasıyla asker toplamaya başlamıştır. Timar sistemi, yeni Avrupa toprak rejiminin kabulüyle aşamalı olarak terkedilmiştir.<

Abstract
The beginning from the Ottoman?s foundation fief system which consists primary principles of financial and administrative arrangement was spoiled towards the ending of 16th century. As the whole Empire, in Trabzon state timar and vassalage was not accedited, and Raya?s mass migration speeded up this situation, too. There are too many timar?s at the state. Central government tried to make new reforms, but they couldn?t have succeeded. Even though, the government couldn?t have obtained the benefit that they hoped from the timar system, by using the senators, they collected soldiers for military. Timar system abandoned gradually after acception of new European Land system.<
