Abstract
The Epos of the Daughter of Khan: an Epos in Terms of Tataro-Bulgar Identity Debates
The problem on the ethnic identities in İdil-Ural region reflects on the folkloric products, now and then. Sometimes, folklor has been used as a means in these disputes. Fake texts have been formed in the framework of specific ideas. ?Şan Kızı Epic? is a text, which is in the centre of these disputes. Tatar scientists assumed that this text is fake and not original. Disputes have been carrying through Tatar scientists. These disputes haven?t been estimated by Turkish folk scientists but this text has been assumed as an original text and it was published in Türkiye. Regardless of these disputes, researches have been started about this text. Using the debated texts as a source, caused to reach false results. Writing about Şan Kızı Epic and assuming it as an original text, bring Turkish scientists as a side about the problem of Tatar-Bulgar etnonym unconsciously. <
