Abstract
The Issue of Redıf and Rhyme in The Minstrel Poem İn The Context of Karacaoğlan's Poems
Minstrel poetry occupies a very large place in folk literature studies. Studies carried out to date have generally focused on the content of poems. The morphological features of the poems were handled within the framework of the rules given by the tradition, but the issues that did not comply with the definitions were not taken into account.
In this study, we will discuss the rhyme and redif features in the poetry of minstrel in the context of Karacaoğlan, one of the most important names in the field. Rhyme and redif are important elements of harmony in our traditional poetry. Examples of these elements that do not comply with the definitions made from other fields of our literature are frequently encountered. Although scientists who have worked on the subject before have put forward some ideas, it is necessary to examine new examples, since the discussion has not developed and has not been concluded.
In our study, we have determined how harmony is achieved with similar sounds in the poetry of minstrel in the context of the idea of quarter rhyme, which has been put forward before.
