Abstract
THE EFFECT OF TERRORIST ORGANIZATIONS ON TURKISH SECURITY POLICIES: THE PKK CASE
States have a mission to ensure security within and outside their borders. In this context, they apply different security policies. These security policies, on the other hand, are shaped by the geography they are in, the threats encountered or may be encountered, the countries they are allied to, the international unions they are a member of and many factors. Another factor shaping the security policies of states is terrorism. Sometimes terrorism can only emerge and develop within the borders of the country and become a threat; sometimes it can be sourced or supported abroad. Although PKK, one of the terrorist groups we have discussed in this study, claims to have emerged as a Kurdish movement; It is clear that it is an internationally supported organization in terms of finance, arms and human resources it receives from many countries. At this point, it is seen that the effect of Turkey's security policy in the context of the PKK terrorist organization. Recently, just before the Sur incidents in Diyarbakır, a process has started regarding the pardoning of those who have not been involved in crime in the terrorist organization. Opened ditches in Sur then, after the armed conflict has changed and the loss of security policy related to Turkey's PKK terrorist organization. Members of the terrorist organization have been closely monitored both at home and abroad, and cooperation has been made with the related countries in this regard. If you recently thought to be a significant decrease in Turkey it said that the PKK's actions follow a successful security policy.
