Abstract
THE IMPACT OF FAMILY’S ATTITUDE DURING UPBRINGING, VOCATIONAL COMPETENCE AND INNOVATION ON ENTREPRENEURSHIP POTENTIAL FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF REGIONAL DIFFERENCES: A COMPARISON OF ARTVIN AND KAHRAMANMARAŞ
Many features were included in the literature that improve the entrepreneurial potential. This study aims to determine the impact of vocational competence and innovation on entrepreneurship potential. Likewise, it is to examine whether the subject variables differ in terms of the place they live, and whether there is a relationship between the attitude of the family towards them during the growing period and entrepreneurial potential of the entrepreneur candidates. In addition, it is aimed to provide recommendations based on results regarding relationship among the place they live, their family’s attitude during upbringing and entrepreneurship potential; and effect of vocational competence and innovation on entrepreneurship potential. In this empirical study, the data on perceptions concerning the place they live and family’s attitude during upbringing, vocational competence, innovation and entrepreneurship potential was gathered by means of a questionnaire from 180 participating entrepreneur candidates. Data was analysed with SPSS 24.0 software and it was presented in tables. The findings showed that the potential of entrepreneurship and innovativeness do not differ but vocational competence has been differentiated in terms of the place they live. The findings also showed, vocational competence and innovation have positive and significant impact on entrepreneurship potential. Additionally, it is determined that there is a significant relationship between family’s attitude during upbringing and entrepreneurial potential of the entrepreneur candidates.
