Abstract


The Names Used as Preposition in the Armenian Kipchak
Armenian Kipchak has many common characteristics with Karaim, Cuman, Urum and Kırım Tatarcası. Armenian Kipchak is the language spoken in XI-XIV centuries by the Kipchak-Cumans in Hungary and North-Eastern Europe, which was also used in Codex-Cumanicus. It also has similarities with the language of texts that were written in Golden Horde and Mamluk Kipchak in XIV-XVII centuries. Armenian Kipchak texts were in use for about one and a half century during XVI-XVII centuries in Ukraine, Poland, Romanya, Moldova, Kırım and Turkey. The written language of Armenian Kipchak became widespread within the district of Ukraine where the immigrated Armenians had settled down. The Armeninan Kipchak, which has been a dead language for about 300 years, attracts the attention of Turcologs from a few aspects. Linguists have been studying Armenian Kipchak for the last 20 years. However, the sociology and linguistics of this language has not been studied thoroughly yet. Thus, some aspects of the language still requires further studies. In this study, nouns,-which are used like prepositions in Armenian Kipchak have been analysed.<
