Abstract
The Educational Activities of the First-Period Folk-Houses "The Example of Konya Folk-House"
Several revolutions aiming to change the life of Turkish society root and branch were made in the Government of Turkish Republic which was established under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal in 1923. One of the most important novelties put in practice by Mustafa Kemal was the “Folk-House” opened in 14 cities in on February 19th 1932. One of the most important of these 14 Folk-houses which rendered services in different branches was “Konya Folk-House”. Manly in education, Konya Folk - House rendered services to public in all fields. If helped widespread education through the courses it opened. Its educational activities got these days to gain valuable works and personalities.<
