Abstract

About the Uses and the Etymologies of Genitive Case Suffixes in the Old Turkic Inscriptions (Tonyukuk, Köl Tegin, Bilge Kagan, Ongi, Küli Çor)
Studies on ancient Turkish inscriptions have reached a certain level today. Books and articles that are fit for comparative study can be found on a range of topics spanning the Orhon Inscriptions to old Turkic inscriptions such as the Yenisey and Kyrgyzstan. Moreover, the rapid increase in the number of inscriptions is also worth noting. In essence, this wealth of information now allows Turkologists to further clarify what has yet to be said in these areas. In this context, the genitive case suffix in the Tonyukuk, Kül Tigin, Bilge Kağan, Ongi, and Küli Çor inscriptions will determine the frame of this study.
