Abstract


A Panslavist Propagandist During Withdrawal Process of Ottoman State From Balkans: Olga Novikoff (Novikova)
The independence movements in Balkans accelerated with entering of Ottoman Empire’s disintigration process. The events, begins with starting of 1804 Serbian uprising, went on with being independence of Greece and Romania. When was come to 1875, the upheavals began in Herzegovina turned into an riot spreading all over Balkan. One of persons who had not come to the fore although she had an effective role during this process, was Russian Panslavist Olga Novikoff. Olga Novikoff who is one of effective names of Panslavists was a theorist with one aspect, and was an activist with other aspect. As she was important contibuting to Panslavist movement with her writings, on the other hand so as to provide support for the expensionist policy of Russia, she got in acts in capital cities of some European contries for gaining the important statesmen. In this work, It is evaluated the Panslavist thoughts of Olga Novikoff and her acts which effected the process of Ottoman Empire’s recession of Balkan. <
