Abstract
Two Mosques not Standing Today in The City Bitola
Today 12 mosque from Ottoman Era are standing in Bitola ,city which is located in the southwest of Macedonia.The subject of this study, Sungur Bey Mosque and Kırık Mosque are two Ottoman buildings which were demolished in the recent past for the sake of urbanization project.Sungur Bey Mosque,was the oldest architecture building from Ottoman Era in the Balkans.İn addition, the foundation of Sungur Bey which is preserved until today,shows that this building is important for the city’s architectural development.The same destiny share and Kırık Mosque, although was in the status of culture heritage was demolished and instead of this mosque have been constructed a modern-looking buildings .<
