Abstract
The etymology of the Ethnonym Kimmer According to Homeros
Homeros, our seemingly first source that mentions the Kimmerians, describes their land as a country full of fog and darkness. Homeros’ accounts of the before-said people have been evaluated in different ways all the time. Those, who made comments in relation to those statements of the Greek author, have never thought the fact that the author had an intention of underlying a reference to the ethnonym Kimmer with such a description till now. In this article, that an historical truth, is related to the Kimmerians, lies behind the Homeros’ accounts will instrinsically be tried to be shown.
