The Golden Horde played substantial role on the trade routes and grew as a great economic power since it was on the passageway of the most important Eurasian transition corridor. As a symbol of its economic power, the state minted coins from various mines.
The Golden Horde became open to Islamization after a short while of its foundation. The process of Islamization also accelerated Turkification. As a matter of fact, investigating numismatic materials reveal that the Turkişh titles suchs as kagan and beg, in addition to sultan were used especially in the coins minted at Saray, Bulgar, Harezm, Gülistan, Azak, Ükek.
