Building a Politeness Strategy Through Questions
Since its existence, human beings have tried to understand first themselves, then the world and the universe in which they live, and have always entered into a process of questioning for situations that have no answer in their minds. With the phenomenon called "question", which emerged at the end of the mental process called asking, questioning, there has been a journey of searching, researching and thinking. In Turkish, the question category has a very large usage area. Therefore, the processing of the category is seen with different markers in proportion to the frequency of use. In this study, it is discussed how the "Politeness Strategy", which was founded by researchers such as Lakoff and Grice, is formed in Turkish question sentences.
