Abstract
On the Compilation of the Trabzon Dialect by Luigi Bonelli
Italian Turkologist Luigi Bonelli made observations, studies and studies on the Turkish language and culture when he was in Turkey between 1890 and 1891. One of the subjects he focused on during his stay in Istanbul is the Turkish language. It is understood that Bonelli, who frequently uses the expression Turkic vulgar (popular Turkish, vulgar Turkish) in his works, attributes particular importance to popular Turkish. Indicating that his aptitude for the language stems from his birth, Rossi accurately claims that he speaks Istanbul's Turkish in such a beautiful way that it astounds Turks. His interest in colloquial Turkish was not limited to the Turkish of Istanbul. The works he has done show that he is also interested in the Turkish spoken in the regions outside Istanbul. One of these regions is Tabzon. In this study we tried to discuss in terms of phonetics, morphology and lexicography the corpus prepared by Bonelli on the Trabzon dialect.
