Abstract
A Contribution to the Compilation Dictionary: kıyıda kulakta
Throughout history, the Turkish language has embraced more than one lineages under one roof due to the nature of lineage organization and the way of life since its beginning periods. Lineage members have always contributed to the vocabulary of the Turkish language with their own vocalization and formation. It is possible to see in vernacular most of the words that can be found in its historical vocabulary but are not used anymore in Turkey Turkish. It is not possible for the "Compilation Dictionary" to collect all of the words from the mother tongue of Turkish people in Turkey or from the Turkified words by people that are used in daily basis. The aim in this study is to make contributions to the Compilation Dictionary by detecting the reduplication word kıyıda kulakta used in the vernacular of Çarşamba in Samsun but not listed in the Compliation Dictionary.
